disclaimer these documents and some of their links contain sexually explicit material that may offend some readers. all of the material on this site is intended to be educational. i am not a medical doctor; i'm just
a well-informed person (who happens to be a biology professor). neither i, nor
my employer, nor my landlord, nor local, state, or federal government makes

we definitely are not offering any warranty of treatment effectiveness or fitness
for any particular purpose. hey, this isn't FDA approved. i may be wrong or
could have mistyped something. don't sue me. finally, a few words about health-related sites and quackery on the internet. i really like the Health on the Net Foundation, and i adhere to most of the principles of their HON code. for example, i don't pretend to know more than i do, i do not allow advertising on this site, and i reference sources where appropriate. however, i have two issues with the HON principles: (1) i want to have the freedom to post my opinions and information that regular people send me, without the type of formal review usually required by the medical community, and (2) given the amount of wierd, misogynistic, abusive email i get, i don't want to have my name and email address on every page of this site. too bad, because i like HON's overall ideals.
