Playlist for December 5, 2000

Tonight we welcomed singer/songwriter Kristin Plater from Boston into the studio to play live and discuss her show in East Lansing. She played four songs live and we also spun some material from her self-released CD (including a live demo backed by her band). The phones lit up with folks wondering where they could find her CD, which is easy: www.kristinplater.com . We also featured the first part of a very special two part interview with Johnny Cash, hosted by Tim Robbins. Since we've done several Cash features in the past month (one for the release of the Love, Murder, God Box Set and another for the release of American III: Solitary Man), we asked people to call in if they liked the interview enough to air part two. The response was overwhelming - the phones rang for nearly 10 minutes straight and the e-mails continued to pour in the next day. So around these parts, you can never have too much of the man in black, which is just fine by us!
