Playlist for November 13, 2001
Last week Bellwether came through town and played at Mac’s after coming on T&T to chat with us. Both Kev and I went out to the show afterwards - Having heard their CDs numerous times, I had an idea they would be good, but we had no idea how truly impressive they were live… the true benchmark of a great band. We started out the show tonight with a set from them. We also focused on Uncle Earl, the band featuring Jo Serrapere, KC Groves, Tamineh Gueramy, and for this show only, special guest Casey Henry from Nashville. They are playing at the Creole Gallery in Lansing on 15 November. We also paid tribute to Gene Wooten, who passed away on November 11 at 49 from complications due to lung cancer. Gene was a fine Dobro player who appeared on numerous recordings and was recently a member of the Osborne Brothers.
