Playlist for July 11, 2000
After about eight or nine years of doing Torch and Twang, Jamie is finally calling it quits and moving to New Jersey (well, she got a new job, too). Doug was gracious enough to allow me to pick all the songs for tonight, so this show is full of my favorites, both new and old. Of course, there just wasn't enough time to fit in everything I wanted to play. I'd just like to say thanks to all the folks who have listened to the show over the years and extend my appreciation to everyone in the music industry who has helped us out. Doing this show has been the highlight of my experience in East Lansing and gave me the chance to meet a ton of wonderful people. Doug is taking 10 weeks off to go to Paris on a research internship, and will return to the show in October. In the meantime, we've lined up a great twang team to keep the show running. Thanks again!!
