Playlist for June 13, 2000

The new acoustic CD from Dwight Yoakam showed up in this week's mail and we promptly dug into several cuts. It's everything that you'd hope for from Dwight - just him and a guitar playing and singing mostly his own original material. We also got the full-length CD from Steppin' In It, a mighty fine local roots band. We'd been playing a four song CD sampler for several weeks, but it was great to finally hear the entire album. In addition to the five regular members, they brought in a few other local musicians to sit in on various tracks, showcasing just how talented the Lansing area music scene is.
