Playlist for May 4, 1999

Still reveling from MerleFest, we played a big set of some of the
highlights of the previous weekend. There were so many great performances
and memories that it turned into a rather long set, but that seemed to suit
every one just fine. As an extra bonus, we had two of the
finest bluegrass pickers from Michigan in the studio, Ron McKeever
(formerly of the Jimmy Haynes Band) and Pooh Stevenson (currently of
Lonesome & Blue). These two put on one heck of a fine performance and they
generated numerous inquiries from folks asking where they could find their
CD, where they could see them, etc (they've never recorded and have only
played together on a few occasions!). This was to promote Ron's upcoming
show for Resident's Night at the Ten Pound Fiddle in East Lansing on
Friday, May 7. Unfortunately, he did not play with Pooh at the Resident's
Night, but we hope these two will play again some time in the near future!
