Tonight we did a special feature on the song “Hot Rod Lincoln”, which was originally written as a response to the song “Hot Rod Race” - recall the line “Have you heard the story of the hot rod race…”. “Hot Rod Lincoln” in turn created a series of Hot Rod related songs and was later revived by bands as diverse as Commander Cody and ALL. Special thanks to Dick Rosemont, who did a tremendous amount of research to hunt down the material for the feature. Dick also came on to the program and provided some wonderful history and commentary on the songs. As you can imagine, we had a huge response to this feature.
