Playlist for March 16, 1999

Tonight's show featured an extra helping of music from Steve Earle, The Del
McCoury Band, and Steve Earle and the Del McCoury Band - a result of the
upcoming (and highly anticipated) show from Steve and the Del McCoury Band
on March 24th at the Michigan Theatre. In addition to all the music, we
gave out two pairs of tickets to that show and a copy of "The Mountain."
We also gave out tickets to the Ten Pound Fiddle show, which features
Mad Pudding this week and we gave out copies of Ricky Skaggs and
Kentucky Thunder's outstanding new CD "Ancient Tones". Also, given
that it was St. Patrick's Day Eve, we dug into some Celtic music. Oh,
and one request we have to any one out there who might
see the V-Roys live: Please tell them that Michigan is not such a bad
place! Apparently they had a disasterous show in Detroit a week ago that
culminated in a fight between Scott Miller and some local idiots in the
crowd. The V-Roys are, in our humble opinion, one of the very best live
bands you will find.
