Playlist for February 6, 2000

After a few weeks off, the playlists are back again and the previous few weeks will be posted to the website. Tonight we featured a good helping of acoustic, folk and bluegrass music, even doing a special feature on Dr. Ralph Stanley, in honor of it being "Ralph Stanley Day" in San Francisco. There is also a new documentary on Ralph's life, you can hear the details of it by checking out the Morning Edition section of http://www.npr.org (show was 2/6/01). We also were paid a visit by the Elektra rep, who delivered the new four song single from the Old 97s. Three of these songs will appear on their forthcoming release "Satellite Rides", which will hit stores on March 20th.  Area listeners take note: there will be a listening party in late February at a local watering hole, details TBA!
