"Roots-rockin', hip-shakin', soul-swayin' music!"
Playlist for January 1, 2002
Since our annual “T&T Top 45 of …” special is not slated for several
weeks, we decided to play back some of the more interesting records of the
previous year (in no particular order). This gave the listeners one last
chance to compile their own personal “Best of…” lists and send them off to
be entered into our contest. Also, we took some time to highlight some of
the people who passed away in 2001: John Hartford, Chet Atkins and
Boozoo Chavis. Each of these legends made substantial contributions
to roots music and their lasting influence will be felt for generations to
come.
