Central offers several complete educational programs at its Lansing location. Courses are scheduled during nontraditional times, such as nights and weekends. Others are accelerated, taking up a week or several full days over a series of weeks.

In addition, CMU offers online and other distance learning options for courses leading to both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Some undergraduate programs are available from CMU entirely through distance learning options—Go to their off-campus web site.

Great Lakes Christian College, an institution of higher education affiliated with Christian/Churches of Christ, seeks to glorify God by preparing students to be servant-leaders in the church and world. GLCC will provide an education from a distinctly Christian perspective and an enhanced understanding of the Bible to those who decide to serve Christ in non-church related careers. LCC is a popular school with CTs for training and education. Whether you want in-depth training in a specific skill, an associate's degree or a good start on a bachelor's degree, LCC may be for you.

The standard classroom settings are available, but LCC is also committed to on-line learning. Online Learning offers quality education that is flexible, convenient and accessible.  See the options offered to students who may not be able to or may not wish to come to campus for classes: Virtual (online) and Telelearning, which includes Telecourses and ITV (Interactive Television) classes.  There is a quiz that will help determine if a virtual course is right for you as well as tips for managing your time successfully in a distance learning course.

Human resource development. HRD, the office that administers the Educational Assistance program, also offers classes that support continuous learning and improvement. Check out HRD's Support Staff Development Programs for information about web enrollment and a list of courses.

Library Computer Training Technology Program
LCTTP offers a variety of non-credit computing courses and workshops. Courses cover a wide range of topics on computing for the purpose of job training, career development, and/or personal improvement.

Lifelong Education
Lifelong Education is available for individuals who want to take one or more regular classes at MSU but who are not interested in enrolling at this time. The prospective student must apply for admission with Lifelong Education status, using either the web or printed Lifelong Education Application.

Spring Arbor University focuses on lifelong learning and understanding God's world and our place in it. They are committed to developing lifelong learners and equipping students with flexible, far-sighted skills for today's world. Lansing is one of SAU's 13 off-campus locations.

SAU offers five methods of lifelong learning, beginning with an undergraduate degree from Spring Arbor. If you have at least two years of coursework under your belt, they also offer degree completion programs. They offer postbaccalaureate teacher certification and graduate degrees. And if these won't work for you, they even offer online courses.

The Thomas M. Cooley Law School, located in Lansing, the capital of Michigan, is one of the nation's largest law schools, offering the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree to students from all walks of life. As a matter of fact, over 70 percent of Cooley's student body comes from states outside of Michigan and nearly a dozen foreign countries. Students are attracted to Cooley's liberal admissions policy, flexible scheduling, and practical approach to learning the law. The WMU Lansing Regional Center provides high quality academic programs and services to meet the professional development and career needs of area residents. Degree programs are available in their entirety through the Regional Center. Lansing courses lead to bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees, as well as graduate certificates. 

All courses are offered at convenient times in the evening and on weekends. The Lansing Campus' facilities include classrooms, advising offices, an excellent computer lab and free, protected, after-hours parking. 

In addition, Internet and e-mail accounts are provided for admitted students, including free World Wide Web browser software.
