Agreement
between Michigan State University and the
Clerical-Technical Union of Michigan State
University,
April 1, 2007 - March 31,
2011
Health
care/wages agreement negotiated through the Coalition of
Labor Organizations at MSU
(Note: the information
below covers the January 1, 2006 through December 31,
2009
MSU/Coalition Health Care Agreement.)
In
December 2005, the members in the individual unions in the
Coalition of Labor Organizations at MSU (except GEU)
ratified a
compensation package that tied wage increases to increases
in the costs of health care. The
agreement lasts from January 1, 2006 until December 31,
2009. Each of the
nine Coalition unions affected by our agreement has a different contract
cycle and each will get this raise at a different time.
For CTs, the agreement
determines our general wage increases from April 2007
through April 2010. CTs will receive
a 2.75% general increase in April 2008. Because
general wage increases are tied to increases in health care
costs, raises in subsequent years will be determined as each
year's health care costs are tallied.
Under the
agreement, CTs received
a 1.25% general increase in April 2007.
We
are guaranteed a fully funded health care program throughout the life of
the agreement.
(This
agreement extends key concepts developed in the previous
contract between the Coalition and the University
[1/1/02-12/31/05]. Under the previous contract we received a
2% general salary increase in 2006, 3% in April 2005,
2% in April 2004, and 1.75% in April
2003.)
(CTs who have not reached the maximum of their pay
grades will continue to receive an additional wage
progression of 3% per year.)
Current pay ranges can
be seen on the Human
Resources web site.

2010 are based
