About Arnold Air Society and the Lieutenant Philip Louis Bek Squadron

"Arnold Air Society is a professional, honorary service organization advocating the support of aerospace power," as told by the definition you can find at the National Web Site. It is a nationwide organization within Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps that offers officer candidates the opportunity to form together in an effort to serve their area and national community. After all, many college students (especially AFROTC cadets) are so busy they would otherwise have trouble finding time for service.
In addition to offering extra-curriculur service activities, AAS provides the chance to meet many fellow officer candidates; this is extremely helpful as we will all one day be serving in the best Air Force in the world. Meeting fellow cadets becomes especially easy at the National Conclave, or NATCON, which is held annually at one of the AAS squarons.
Here at Michigan State University, home of Detachment 380 and the Lt. Philip Louis Bek squadron, we offer Det. 380 cadets the chance to join our close-knit group and relentlessly serve the Lansing area. Our squaron is currently composed of twenty one actives. Last semester, eight candidates activated with seventeen on the way this current semester.
