I wanted to come up with a system to end all debates on who the best goalies are...Well, I know that can't happen since statistics are just that, statistics...Many different things besides stats make up a goaltender, right down to the fact of whether or not they'll sign autographs...but that doesn't appear in any stat column...But, given some stats which reflect how well they keep the puck out of the net, I think I have a relatively good system here...It is not so much based on team stats (like wins vs. losses), but more on a personal level with the goalie, like save percentage, and to an even lesser extent, goals against average...The important thing is that they play for the love of the game, not to see who can get the better GAA or save percentage...Once the love of the game is lost, so is the goaltenders ability to play hockey...(I think you goalies out there know what I mean, you gotta love hockey!)

The formula considers these statistics:

I placed higher priorities on stats like save percentage and goals against average, rather than the more team oriented stats, like wins and losses.
