Call to Order- The meeting was called to order at 12:10 p.m.
Reports of Officers-
Recording Secretary- The minutes for June 13, 2000 were not available at this meeting.
President's Report- Lenny Govoni was on vacation. Dan Chegwidden chaired the meeting.
Treasurer's Report- Ken Deneau reported on the Monthly Financial Statement for the month ending 5/31/00. The balance as of 5/31/00 is $209,200.50. It was moved and seconded to approve the Treasurer's report. Motion carried.
Ken noted the following:
- Office space- the board recommends that a committee discuss the topic of the new office, as we have 12 months to make a decision.
Vice President Negotiations- Dan Chegwidden provided the board with a copy of the survey responses and final report . Dan asked that the board review the document before the next meeting with the consulting group.
Contract Administration- Jim Hensley verbally reported on Grievance/Counseling Activity for this period.
- It was noted that 30/60 day suspensions are problematic for our Association.
- Grievances 99-12 and 14 have been settled.
Corresponding Secretary- Gavin Smith will meet with Lenny Govoni on newsletter info, and notices on impending negotiations.
Membership Secretary- No report this month. Debbi Sudduth will report on the May and June 2000 membership reports next month.
