On June 18, 2001 130 persons began the "2001 Odyssey to the Imperial Capitals," a 2 week tour of Budapest, Hungary; Vienna, Austria; and Prague, Czech Republic. Included in the group was a 74 member concert band composed of MSU band alumni, which played 6 concerts in the three cities. The total group is shown here in their Prague hotel just prior to the last concert. Conductor of the band for the trip was Kenneth Bloomquist, Co-Directors were Henry Nelson and Dale Bartlett. Fifty of the total group extended their trip an additional 5 days and visited Berlin. (Dale Bartlett)
