The Listservs
The Gay and Lesbian Bisexual and Transgendered Faculty and Staff Association (GLFSA) and The Alliance of LBGT Students maintain four e-mail listservs, each with its own purpose. If you are away from your e-mail and turn on an auto reply, remember to disable listserv delivery!
TRIANG-L
What Is TRIANG-L?
TRIANG-L is the MSU LBGT email mailing list. It helps lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgendered people find out what's happening on the MSU campus, and makes it easier for the LBGT community to keep in touch. TRIANG-L is run by the Gay and Lesbian Faculty and Staff Association.
To disable mail delivery, send a message to listserv@list.msu.edu with the line "set triang-l nomail" in the body. To re-enable delivery, send the line "set triang-l mail."
Alliance GA
What Is Alliance GA?
Alliance GA is the Alliance's General Assembly email mailing list. It helps people find out what's happening with the Alliance of LBGT Students. You may also use your subscription to post messages on the Alliance website. We send most mailings to TRIANG-L as well as this list.
Join the list
To disable mail delivery, send a message to ga-request@alliance.user.msu.edu with the line "set authenticate <your ga list password>" in the subject and "set delivery off" in the body. To re-enable delivery, send the lines "set authenticate <your ga list password>" and "set delivery on."
MSUPride
What Is MSUPride?
MSUPride is MSUs LBGT e-mail mailing list for Alumni. It helps lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgendered Alumni find out what's happening on the MSU campus, and makes it easier for the LBGT Alumni to keep in touch. MSUPride is run by the Gay and Lesbian Faculty and Staff Association.
To disable mail delivery, send a message to listserv@list.msu.edu with the line "set msupride nomail" in the body. To re-enable delivery, send the line "set msupride mail."
GLFSA-L
What is GLFSA-L?
This list is a "read only" list for the distribution of announcements, facilitated by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Faculty and Staff Association (GLFSA). Once you join the list you receive announcements as email, but you cannot reply to an announcement and have it automatically posted to the list. There is no way anyone can tell who belongs to the GLFSA-L list, so it is a safe list to join. Membership is open to the MSU community and others at the discretion of the list manager and the GLFSA Board.
