Administrative Services at Student Academic Affairs

The Undergraduate University Division is solely responsible for administrative procedures and academic monitoring of all undergraduate students admitted to Michigan State University with fewer than 56 credits (except James Madison College and Lyman Briggs School). UUD makes decisions concerning retention and recess or dismissal.

Advisers assist students to understand the application of University administrative policies and procedures to their academic careers.

Student Administrative Services that UUD provides include:

    Assistant Dean/Administrative Policies and Procedures
    • Enrollment Policies (adding and dropping courses, late drops, refund policy, withdrawals)
    • Grading Policies (withdrawals, repeat grades, incompletes)

All students who are enrolled in the UUD must select and be accepted for admission to a degree granting college by the time they reach junior standing (56 credits; see the MSU Academic Programs, http://www.msu.edu/unit/ucandc/).
