The Philosophy Minor

The Philosophy Department now offers a minor in addition to the major. The minor enables students who are interested in studying philosophy but who choose not to be a philosophy major to receive recognition for their philosophy coursework on their transcripts. The requirements for the philosophy minor are as follows.

A total of 18 PHL credits, including:

  1. PHL 200 or PHL 210 or PHL 211 (History Requirement)
  2. PHL 130 or PHL 330 (Logic Requirement)
  3. At least one 400 level PHL course.

If you are interested in the philosophy minor, please contact the philosophy undergraduate advisor, Professor Daniel Steel (steel@msu.edu, 353-9392).
