Metaethics, Kantian ethics, early modern philosophy, especially Spinoza and Hume

Interests:

Prof. Frei has recently finished her dissertation in Kantian Ethics. In her dissertation she argues that the Hypothetical Imperative—a principle concerning the relationship between an agent's ends and means—is a categorical prescription and is a necessary feature of Kant's theory of rational action.
