Retention Schedules A SCHEDULE is a document governing, on a continuing basis, the retention, and disposition of the records created by an organization. Also known as a records schedule, a records control schedule, a retention schedule, and a records retention schedule. General Schedules General (Common) schedules are designed for record types that are common to many units of the university. An example is a departmental equipment purchase files. Specialized Schedules Specialized schedules are designed for record types that are unique to only one university unit. An example is Media communication Academic Personnel Biographical Files.
