Becoming a Registered Dietitian

In order to become a R.D, one must successfully complete the following three steps.

1. Completion of American Dietetic Association Didactic Program in Dietetics academic requirements plus a minimum of a baccalaureate degree. (Click here for more information).

2. Completion of a supervised practice experience through an accredited dietetic internship or an accredited coordinated program in Dietetics. (www.eatright.org/cps/rde/xchg/ada/hs.xsl/CADE_401_ENU_HTML.htm).

3. Pass the National Registration Examination for Dietitians.
