The Secretary for Academic Governance is Professor Jacqueline Wright. Professor Wright is an ex-officio member of Academic Council, Faculty Council and Executive Committee of Academic Council. She serves those bodies as secretary and parliamentarian. Professor Wright meets with the University Committee on Academic Governance working with that committee to review and interpret the University Bylaws for Academic Governance.
Along with other administrative offices, the office of the Secretary for Academic Governance provides staff support to the Executive Committee of Academic Council (ECAC), Academic Council, Faculty Council, Academic Assembly of ASMSU, Council of Graduate Students (COGS), and the Standing Committees of Academic Council. The office conducts and oversees elections to faculty vacancies on Standing Committees, Advisory Consultative Committees, at-large faculty members of Executive Committee and other boards and committees.
