Wharton Center for the Performing Arts
- The beautiful Wharton
Center offers a full schedule of touring Broadway
shows, leading dance troupes, and world-famous soloists
and ensembles.
The state-of-the-art facility also showcases performances
by the
Department
of Theatre, School of Music,
Greater Lansing Symphony
Orchestra, and Opera company of Mid-Michigan.
Excellent acoustics and sightlines prevail in both the
2,500-seat Great
Hall and the more intimate 600-seat Festival Stage.
Wharton Center events
enrich and enhance campus academic life through a wide
variety of personal
encounters with both traditional and innovative art
forms. Full-time MSU
students are offered substantial discounts on tickets for
both series and
single performances.

Music
- Frequent concerts/recitals by student and faculty
ensembles, soloists,

Theatre
- The Department of Theatre offers student productions, dance concerts,
guest artists and happenings throughout the academic year. Touring
groups travel to schools in Michigan to entertain and educate middle and
high school students with works of Shakespeare and elementary students
with dance theatre and various youth theatre themes. In June the
department features the award winning Summer Circle Theatre, free
outdoor productions that draw patrons from around the state.
Undergraduate students may compete for a Creative Arts Scholarship,
and graduate applicants may apply for Assistantships.

Kresge Art Center
- Kresge is located
on Auditorium Road, next to MSU Auditorium.
