About the MSU Rodeo Club
History
The Michigan State University Rodeo Club originated in 1969. The club is a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA).
Club Info
The Rodeo Club has meetings every other Tuesday at Anthony Hall on the MSU Campus. We welcome anyone with an interest in the sport, even if you are not able to compete. To compete, a student must first become a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). To find out more about competing on the MSU Rodeo Team, see the Rodeo Team web page.
Club Activities
As a club, the students organize and promote Michigan State University's annual rodeo, the Spartan Stampede. The club also sends a rodeo team to other NIRA rodeos in the Ozark Region. Any qualifying members may attend the Collegiate National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming.
Additional club activities include, but are not limited to:
• Annual end of the year banquet

(i.e., Autumn Fest, Ag Olympics, Small Animals Day)
