Agreement and Proposal

Here you will find what a brief description of our Service-Learning Writing Project, working with YouVote. Also, the document shows what is expected of me in my work with the organization, as well deadlines and due dates for YouVote assignments.

Audience Assessment

Determining who your audience is gives you a clearer notion of what to write. Because we were writing for such a massive audience, guidelines and ideas needed to be expressed in the Audience Assessment page.

Part II: Working on the Writing Project

Fact File

The YouVote Fact File includes a set of informative matters detailing the foundation of the YouVote organization as well as organizations of similar purpose. The Fact File also includes an interview portion with YouVote coordinator Tim O'Malley.

Journal Entries

The journal provides accurate thoughts, ideas, and memories of each time I worked with YouVote, met with my group, and met with 2005 YouVote coordinator Tim O'Malley.

Project Updates

Halfway through the semester and two-thirds complete with YouVote, I filled out my SLWP progress evaluating what has been done and what remains to be completed.

In continued research for YouVote, our Group has conjunctively written a series of brief essays and analyses intended for use on YouVote.msu.edu. Here you can find our completed YouVote assignments.

Part III: Evaluating the Writing Project

Reflections on the SLWP Experience

My experiences with YouVote were certainly unique to any classroom experience I've had before. In this reflection peice I recall some of the aspects of YouVote I enjoyed, found difficult, and learned from.

Working in groups is often more challenging than it seems. Here is my reflection on the advantages, weaknesses, and skills with working collaboratively.
