Blaine McKinley has taught in the Department since 1969 and has taught American Radical Thought since 1980. Since officially retiring in January 2000, McKinley has continued to teach one class each semester. His articles on American anarchism have appeared in Labor History, American Quarterly, and Journal of American Culture, and he has contributed to several books, including Historic Women of Michigan, Encyclopaedia of the American Left, and Women Building Chicago 1790-1990.
