JIM KELLER

Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures
Jim Keller received his Ph.D. from SUNY Stony Brook in American Literature with an emphasis in contemporary American poetry. Having taught classes on the U.S. multiethnic avant-garde during his postdoctoral fellowship, he now teaches in the Institute for Writing and Thinking at Bard College and at Michigan State University.
Keller has contributed to Poetry and Pedagogy, The Middle Generation in American Poetry, and The Encyclopedia of American Poetry. He is finishing a book about the strategies that contemporary writers use to balance tradition and innovation.
