Her recent work focuses on the teaching of writing in graduate education and on the ways that traditional configurations of first-year writing classrooms devalue writing as a social practice.
DeJoy has won teaching awards, has been elected to Who’s Who Among American Teachers three times, and has participated in a variety of community literacy and community grant-writing projects.
