REQUIREMENTS FOR THE WOMEN'S STUDIES DEGREE

  1. The University requirements for bachelor's degrees as described in the Undergraduate Education section of the catalog; 120 credits, including general elective credits, are required for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Women's Studies.  The University's Tier II writing requirement for the Women's Studies major is met by completing Women's Studies 492.  That course is referenced in item 3 a. below.
  2. The requirements of the College of Arts and Letters for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
  3. The following requirements for the major (33-40 credits):1
  4. a.    All of the following courses (20-22 credits):
        b.  At least 2 of the following courses (4-7 cr):         c.   Choose one of the following areas of concentration for the major (9 to 12 cr):3

                AREA A:  At least three of the following courses (9-12 cr):

                AREA B:  At least three of the following courses, one of which must be at the 300-400 level. (9-11 cr):
