The University requirements for bachelor's degrees as described in the Undergraduate Education section of the catalog; 120 credits, including general elective credits, are required for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Women's Studies.  The University's Tier II writing requirement for the Women's Studies major is met by completing Women's Studies 492.  That course is referenced in item 3 a. below.

OPTIONAL:  Students with an interest in gender are also encouraged to take ATL 140 - Writing:  Women in America, or ATL 145 - Writing:  Men in America.  These courses do not count as credit toward the major, but many students find they provide a good base for Women's Studies courses.
