Dr. Robyn Wilson is a Professor of Risk and Decision Science at the Ohio State University. She worked in the Skunkworks lab between 2002 and 2006. Her research in the lab focused on the role played by affective impressions in individual judgments about the environment; one of the main findings of this research is the apparent tendency for strong affective responses to inhibit the effectiveness of various decision support tools.

Her research has also addressed the challenging topic of decision quality. Specifically, comparing self-reported measures of decision quality with measures of internal consistency, her work focused on questions about the extent to which outcomes of decision aiding processes reflect the objectives decision makers. Finally, she also worked on a project designed to test the strength of loss aversion, and its influence on attributed choice behavior, in a series of realistic management contexts. Robyn's research in the lab earned her the Best Student Paper Award from the Society for Risk Analysis' Risk Communication Specialty Group in 2004 and the Best Paper published by a student in the Journal of Risk Research in 2006.

Dr. Wilson teaches courses in Environmental Risk Communication and Risk Management in the School of Environment and Natural Resources at the Ohio State University. Of particular interest to Robyn is research in environmental decision contexts that involve a variety of stakeholders, multiple conflicting objectives, and difficult tradeoffs.
