Submit comments, suggestions, and questions via the web. You should provide an e-mail address if you would like a reply.
Use this temporary link to the homework site while the class resources page is unavailable as a result of the web server in the geology department being offline
Class resources: notes, full text, images, practice exams, review material, link to homework assignments, external links.
The secure site is no longer accessible by students, except by special arrangement.
You can retrieve the 22 digit encrypted code needed to establish a homework account in Lecture Online.
Click here to open a separate window in which you may play a movie showing how to set up your account in the Homework site: Lecture Online. Note the movie file is large (1.4 Mb) so if you are dialing in it could take a few minutes to download. Also you need a Quick Time plug-in installed in your Browser plug-ins folder.
Note you only have to follow the sign-on procedure once. When you have created a user log-in and password for Lecture Online you just enter them in the boxes in the Lecture Online Welcome screen and click on log-in whenever you wish to access the Homework problems.
Access to a student performance database (updated following exams).
You can also find out what your course grade will be if you class performance is sustained at the present level for the remainder of the session. You can follow the link from there (or go directly from here) to the interactive grade estimator which allows you to test the effect of different scores in your remaining exams. A plot of adjusted scores on the final exam appears below. [Note adjusted score = Raw score + 3].
Here you will find a link to the WebTalk Group discussion area. You should visit this area to discuss collaborative topics with other members of your group. The quality of your contributions will form part of the participation grade for the semester so you should aim to be a regular and diligent contributor to group discussion. Photos of the groups as well as names of group members and descriptions of discussion topics (conversations) will be displayed when you enter the webtalk system. You will need to type in your Pilot ID and Pilot password when requested to access this page.
