Sponsorships and Other Partnership Opportunities

We seek to provide our guests from around the world with not only a world-class technical program but with numerous opportunities to interact and enjoy themselves in outstanding and unique social settings.

I. Sponsorships:

Contribution schedule:
First Chair $15,000
Second Chair $10,000
Third Chair $5,000

Each $5,000 in contributions will earn one complimentary conference registration.

During conference week, all sponsors will be recognized at a special luncheon held at Cowles House, the residence of Peter McPherson, president of Michigan State University.

Sponsors have an opportunity to target their contribution to one of the main social events of the conference. Appropriate recognition will be provided at the event based on the level of contribution and will be planned through the conference organizing committee.

All sponsors will receive tabletop exhibit space if desired.

All sponsors will be named on a permanent plaque to be displayed on the Wall of Honor in the School of Packaging Building.

All sponsors will be recognized in the conference program.

Designating funds: The attached list provides options for designating your contribution to one of the conference main events or accessory needs.

II. Partnerships:

Contributions: $1,000 up to $4,999
Contributions at the partner level can be applied as general conference support or can be targeted to a specific conference need. Recognition will be provided in the conference program and as appropriate based on the level of contribution and the designation of funds.

Welcome Reception: Sunday evening
This event kicks off our week with a splendid reception for attendees. This reception will be held in the back garden of Cowles House, the residence of the president of Michigan State University. This reception is held in conjunction with the "Story of Packaging" exhibit at the MSU Museum, which is located next to Cowles House.

Opening Luncheon: Monday afternoon
Officially opening the conference, this luncheon will be held on the grounds at the School of Packaging in a tented facility complete with round tables, linens, and full food service. Guests will have the pleasure of touring the School of Packaging as we celebrate our 50th anniversary and meeting dignitaries from state government, IAPRI, the School of Packaging, and Michigan State University.

Alumni Reception: Monday evening
An alumni-sponsored reception to be held in the Horticulture Gardens on campus. Conference attendees can relax with food and drink while strolling through this expansive botanical display.

Alumni Banquet: Tuesday evening
MSU School of Packaging alumni welcome conference attendees on the floor of the Breslin Center, home of MSU's national championship basketball team, for a formal dinner. A 50s theme dominates this event with a classic car show featuring some of the finest cars of the era ever to come out of the Motor City. Featured speaker will be Tom Izzo, MSU's head basketball coach (tentative).

"Western Extravaganza": Wednesday evening
An extravagant celebration addressing all the senses with a diverse offering of entertainment, demonstrations, activities, and foods. Held at the MSU Pavilion for Agriculture, this event offers everything from multiple food stations featuring ethnic foods, strolling entertainment, karaoke, an auction, and fireworks.

Closing Banquet: Thursday evening
A tasteful and elegant thank-you to all. An outdoor reception along the banks of the Red Cedar River will be followed by a multiple-course meal served in the grand ballroom at the Kellogg Center, MSU's conference center and site of WORLDPAK. The evening will feature comedy and musical entertainment.
