The
Michigan State University School of Packaging is proud to announce
WORLDPAK 2002, to be held on the Michigan State University campus,
East Lansing, Michigan, June 23rd through the 28th, 2002. WORLDPAK
2002 brings together two outstanding programs, the 13th annual International
Association of Packaging Research Institutes conference on packaging,
and the 50th anniversary of the Michigan State University School
of Packaging.
In addition to keynote addresses by some of the world's leading
packaging experts, WORLDPAK 2002 will include presentations by an
array of experts who are on the cutting edge of academic and industry
research. This conference will provide an excellent opportunity
for individuals and companies alike to gain technical knowledge
in a broad range of packaging

Ronald
A. Iwaszkiewicz II is a specialist at the MSU School
of Packaging, coordinating distance education programs. In addition
to the coordination of on-line programs, Ron teaches PKG 415: "Computer
Decision Systems," which deals with computer programs developed
for the Packaging Industry and how they can help students problem
solve for the industry. Ron is also the advisor to Pi Kappa Gamma,
an honorary packaging fraternity whose mission is community service
and support of packaging ideals. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate
in RFID technology. Ron worked at Johnson Wax in Racine, WI for
8 and a half years. While there, he had responsibility for advancing
the technology of their Distribution Dynamics Laboratory. Ron was
the packaging engineer on the Windex product line for 3 years, and
worked in a cost savings capacity for the company as well. He has
both a Bachelors and Masters degree form the School of Packaging
at MSU.
Russ
White is an information officer in Michigan State
University's Office of University Relations. Russ proactively works
to gain positive attention for MSU in the local, state and national
media. His particular areas of focus are the promotion of MSU president
Peter McPherson, The College of Communication Arts & Sciences,
The Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University-Detroit
College of Law and MSU's International Studies and Programs. At
MSU White develops and cultivates strong relationships with state
and national media in order to obtain effective placement of positive
stories in targeted media. He has a special focus on increasing
MSU's visibility in southeast Michigan. He has enhanced MSU's image
with multiple placements in media like The Wall Street Journal,
The New York Times, The Detroit Free Press, Business Week and National
Public Radio. Russ holds two degrees from MSU - a master's in public
relations and a bachelor's in telecommunication.
