Evening Activities

Sunday: Welcome Reception

An early evening reception welcoming our guests to Michigan State University and WORLDPAK 2002. The reception is being held in combination with Cowles House, home of MSU's President, Peter McPherson, and the MSU Museum. This will provide our guests an opportunity to visit the Museum's "Age of Packaging" exhibit. Cowles House is the oldest historical building on campus and serves as the "front door to MSU". Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Monday: Evening Reception

An evening reception hosted by the MSU School of Packaging Alumni Association. The reception will be held in the beautiful MSU Horticultural Gardens and will feature a Mardi Gras theme. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Tuesday: Banquet - Celebration of the Past 50 Years

Tuesday's banquet, hosted by the School of Packaging Alumni Association, will feature a visual history of the School of Packaging. Speakers representing each decade of the School's history will be featured. The banquet will be held in MSU's Breslin Center, Mid-Michigan's premier multi-purpose facility.

Wednesday: Western Extravaganza and Auction

Wednesday's informal extravaganza, held at the MSU Pavilion, will feature appetizers, a Western Barbeque, ice cream sundaes, fireworks, and all the fun you can handle! There will be a live auction, with proceeds to be designated to various charities and scholarship funds.

Thursday: Formal BanquetThree Men & a Tenor

A fun and relaxing close to our conference. A reception featuring local musical artists will start the evening followed by an elegant banquet.
The evening's entertainment will open with the comedy of Bill Thomas. A
stand-up comedian for 15 years Bill has appeared in concert with Jay Leno, The Oakridge Boys, Ray Charles, The Smothers Brothers and many more. The nationally known A cappella sensation, THREE MEN and a TENOR will cap off the evening with their side splitting comedy and superb musical entertainment.
