Monthly Photo Contests

· For all club members to pick a theme each month and then choose a winner with a reward each month! If you would like to be a coordinator for this or would like to run a few, feel free to contact us!

Photo Walks to:

· Cooley Gardens in Lansing

· Adado Riverfront Park and Brenke Fish Ladder
(Scenic 8 mile walkway that includes parks, historic sites, urban activity centers, Brenke River Sculpture, Fish Ladder, Turner-Dodge House, the Potter Park Zoo, and Louis F. Adado Riverfront Park)

· Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids
(beautiful gardens with some great sculptures, too!)

· Potter Park Zoo

· Campus Gardens
(Beal Gardens, Service Road Gardens, Horticulture Gardens, Children's 4-H Gardens. For architecture, sculptures, shapes, and flowers)—

· Downtown Lansing

· Walks to do some night photography

Sharing Work and Tips and Tricks

· We will be having a few get-togethers to share our own work and share some ideas! We will be sharing some tips and tricks with fellow club members to get some new perspectives and learn a little!

Club Booths for Selling Work

· Meridian Artisan’s Market (across from Meridian Mall)
(open the second Sunday of each month from May to October from 12-4pm. We can register to be a vendor as a club or individually.

Day Trip to Detroit

· We will be taking buses down to Detroit to do some street scenes and take pictures of the city walking around

· We will be going to a few galleries, as well as the Detroit Institute of Art

· We will then attend some festivities going on downtown, and might stay until dark to practice some night-time photography!

· Dates and details still pending, the cost for this trip WILL BE under $20
