This page was designed as an honors option for Organismal Biology. We are taking this class through Lyman Briggs School, Michigan State University.

Evolution is an interesting area of study that is often of great debate. The controversial debate surrounding the teaching of evolution is where did human beings come from? Did we evolve over time from another species, such as apes? If we did evolve, how did it happen, and why? What mechanisms are responsible for the change that humans have endured? These are all important questions when studying evolution. We will do our best to provide you with answers to these and more using the knowledge of evolutionary mechanisms we have accumulated in LBS 144, Organismal Biology.

Evolution defined: Evolution is the change of the frequency of an allele in a given population.
