Postman

The Postman is also known as a Mailman or a Postal Worker.  The Postman works at the post office.

The Postman wears a uniform each day to work.  The uniform helps us identify that someone is a Postal Worker.  The uniform also helps keep dirt away from the Postman’s everyday clothes.

The Postman sorts and delivers mail to our houses everyday (except Sunday).  The Postman brings mail to stores and businesses too.  When we have a letter or package to mail, we can put it in the mailbox for the Postman to find.  We also can leave it for him at the post office.

The Postman uses a special mail truck to deliver mail.  The Postman sometimes puts mail into a big mailbag so the mail is easier to carry.
