Medical Worker

Doctors are community helpers.  Doctors work in a doctor’s office.  You also could find a doctor working at the hospital.

Doctors in the doctor office typically wear nice clothes with a long white coat over top of them.  This coat is called a lab coat.  Doctors in the hospital wear an outfit called scrubs.  Doctors wear scrubs to keep germs away.  Doctors in the hospital also wear a lab coat.

Doctors help the community stay healthy and safe.  When we are sick we visit the doctor to find out what is wrong.  Doctors try and make us better when we are sick.

Depending on what is wrong, doctors use a variety of tools when working.  The most common tool is a stethoscope.
