Museum Studies Student Association (MSSA) Student Gala Evening

Kresge Art Museum, 7:30-9 p.m.
MSSA is hosting a Student Gala Evening Event on Thursday, April 17 from 7:30-9pm at Kresge Art Museum. This is a free event, open to all students. It will include finger food, fun drinks and live music to enjoy while exploring the museum with your friends and peers.
KAM intern (and former Museum Studies graduate student) Carrie Butt will host a gallery talk on her Works on Paper Gallery exhibit Atelier 17: An International Workshop, 1933-1950 at 8pm. For questions or more information please contact Megan Leinbach at leinbac3@msu.edu.

Arts Marathon Weekend
April 18–20, 2008
MSU Campus
Highlighted as a Year of Arts & Culture Signature Event, the Arts Marathon Weekend offers 48 hours of continuous arts programming at MSU. This is a unique opportunity to see performances, exhibitions, films, and readings. It begins on Friday, April 18 at 5:00 p.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony by MSU Provost Kim Wilcox in the courtyard between Kresge Art Center and the MSU Auditorium. Creative Kids: The Great Escape: Landscapes to Cityscapes

Kresge Art Museum, 1-3 p.m.
Learn about natural and built environments, and the organic and geometric shapes that form them. Beginning with a tour of museum landscapes and cityscapes the participants will then make their own nature inspired work with mixed media materials. Ages 8-11. Pre-registration required.
