Here there be wombats...

Pretty soon I'll have all the facts you'd ever need to know about these cool small, furry creatures, and pictures galore.

Why I am a Wombat...

It all began in the 5th grade...We were assigned to do a report on the animal of our choice. I chose an animal that would influence me for the rest of my life :The Wombat. The reasons I chose wombats at the time were (1) I didn't know much about them and (2) I thought their name wass really cool (not necessarily in that order).

Following my initial exposure to this mighty marsupial, I began using Wombat as my handle on local BBS's and began to become more and more enamored with the animals. My junior year year I ran for Senior Class President at my high school on the Wombat Liberation Front ticket. I lost the race, but mostly because a large number of my supporters were in the apathy party and didn't actually bother to vote.

The wombat lives across the seas
Among the far Antipodes.
He may exist on nuts and berries
Or, then again, on missionairies.                                                                The Wombat Rides at Midnight!!!!
His distant habitat precludes
Conclusive knowledge of his moods,
But I would not engage the wombat
In any form of mortal combat.
