I specialize in medieval literature and its classical roots. My particular field is French literature of the later middle ages and early Renaissance. I have published articles on topics including late medieval allegory, politics, historiography, feminism, and narcissism. I am currently completing a book on Christine de Pizan's reading of Boethius and Augustine, tentatively entitled In the Muses' Garden: The Consolation of Memory in Christine de Pizan.
