I am currently a visiting assistant professor at
Michigan Technological University in the Department of Social Sciences.
I teach American Government and a section of Perspectives on
Inquiry (freshman seminar) focusing on Endangered Species.
I successfully defended my dissertation in July, 2006 and am currently
completing the final edits. The dissertation is tentatively titled
"Analysis and Evaluation of the Laurentian Great Lakes Fishery
Management Legal Framework." My adivsor, Tracy Dobson,
and I conducted research on the law and policy of Great Lakes fishery
management, which was funded by a grant from the Great Lakes Fishery
Commission. Our most recent publication was "The Public Trust
Doctrine and Sustainable Ecosystems: A Great Lakes Fisheries Case
Study" in New York University Environmental Law Journal 14(2): 322-373
(2006).
