harrisc@msu.eduCraig is a member of the faculty in the Department of Sociology at Michigan State University, where he specializes in the sociology of food and agriculture and environmental sociology.
Craig is also appointed in the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station, the National Food Safety and Toxicology Center, and the Food Safety Policy Center; he is a member of the core faculties of the African Studies Center, the Asian Studies Center, the Center for European and Russian Studies, the Center for Advanced Studies in Development, and the program for Women in International Development
Craig conducts research on fisheries development and management, pest management in fruit and vegetable production, soil management in cash grain production, and food safety policy; he has done research in Michigan, Taiwan, Rwanda, Bulgaria, Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Mexico.
Craig teaches courses in environmental sociology, social ecology, and earth systems science; he has taught in Michigan, Taiwan, Bulgaria, and Senegal.
