JPN 201 Second-year Japanese I (5 cr, fall) JPN 202 Second-year Japanese II (5 cr, spring) JPN 301 Third-year Japanese I (4 cr, fall) JPN 302 Third-year Japanese II (4 cr, spring) JPN 350 Studies in the Japanese Language (3 cr, spring) JPN 401 Fourth-year Japanese I (3 cr, fall) JPN 402 Fourth-year Japanese II (3 cr, spring) ONE COURSE (3 cr) in Teaching Methods (obtain advisor's approval): for example, ASN 491 Special Topics: Japanese Teaching Methods  (3 cr, varies) LLT 307 Methods of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (3 cr, FS, SS)

ONE COURSE (3 cr) out of the  following ASN 401 East Asian Cultures (3 cr, fall) ASN 464 Studies in the Literature of Asia and the Asian Diaspora (3 cr, spring)

Courses within or outside of the College of Arts and Letters on East Asia. Must include at least 6 credits in history, arts, and/or humanities.

Courses outside of College of Arts and Letters on one theme.
