My website is to be viewed but residents of the Lansing area. I would also like to reach MSU students. They make up the largest part of the E. Lansing population. I am trying to reach them because this area is where the refugees I am talking about are being moved. This is where the Refugee Development Center is located. I plan on posting a flyer on my dorm floor to reach a part of the student body. I also plan on e-mailing the people I know well on and around campus.

My purpose of the website is to help the center grow. The center impacts this area so much, and it has the potential to be even more. I want people to want to help. I think people should take pride in their community and this center makes this community so much greater. This proposal came from the research I had put into our research papers. In doing research I visited the center and was inspired by it. Most of these refugees are thrown into the country with little knowledge of the language here, as well as other setbacks. The center can be the answer to those setbacks and deserves the help. My website explains how helping the center can help the Lansing area citizens and provides them the information they need to help.

Using a webpage was recently taught to me. So I knew basic skills in making web pages. However I learned new skills such as how to add movies and sounds. Finding relevant movies and sounds was a different story. So I did not get a chance to use this new knowledge.
