This gun stock club has to be the most impressive thing
that I have made. The blade was made from a piece of raw (not heat-treated)
flint from Georgetown, Texas. The "gun stock" was made from a piece
of Osage Orange that came from near Shreveport, Louisiana. Hand tools
were used to carve and shape the wood. It was sanded down to 600
grit sand paper and then coated with lind seed oil. The shape and
dimensions were taken from a book, but I made the blade much large than
that in the book.
