Corner Notched Points

This corner notched point was made from a piece of brazilian agate.  Brazilian agate is beautiful, but the different color band are of different consistencies, and this makes knapping the stone very difficult.  You can see the different consistencies: the orange is very shinny while the white is less shinny.
Length: 11.1 cm (4.37 in); Width: 3.68 cm (1.45 in); Thickness: 0.55 cm (0.22 in).

This corner notched point was made from a piece of chert from the Llano River in Central Texas.  This point has extremely deep notches that are hard to make.
Length: 7.2 cm (2.83 in); Width: 3.57 cm (1.41 in); Thickness: 0.62 cm (0.24 in).

This corner notched point was made from a piece of heat treated novaculite from Magnet Cove, Arkansas.  This piece of novaculite had a thin layer of white in.  I tried to save as much of it as I could and make a well shaped point.  The other side of this point does not contain any white.
Length: 9.6 cm (3.78 in); Width: 4.06 cm (1.60 in); Thickness: 0.66 cm (0.26 in).
