The blade of this knife was made from a piece of heat-treated novaculite from Magnet Cove, Arkansas.  This piece of novaculite is white in color.  Most of the blade is opaque with a translucent quartz vein running through it.  The handle was made from the lower jaw of a black bear. Handle Length (Straight Line): 12.5 cm (4.92 in); Handle Length (Along the Curve): 17.5 cm (6.89 in); Handle Width (Middle): 3.5 cm (1.38 in); Handle Thickness: 1.15 cm (0.45 in); Canine Tooth Length: 2.87 cm (1.13 in).
