Due to many circumstances, but not because it isn’t FUN, we are canceling this Saturday’s game night at the CTU! Hope to see you next month on Saturday, November 8.

The next raise for the nine bargaining units covered by the Health Care Agreement with the University will be 1.75%.

CTs will receive the increase as their general pay raise in April 2009.

This is definitely good news given the problems with the MSU budget and the State of Michigan’s economic woes. And we still have high quality health care with a premium-free choice.

AT&T is a unionized carrier that offers local service in California, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin.  AT&T workers are represented by CWA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Verizon is another unionized company that provides both long-distance and local phone service.
